Here are the kirtans from tonight, recorded with just a pair of Behringer N2 condenser mics, with a little bit of stereo compression from a dbx 166xl:

Did you mean a pair of Behringer B2's? It sounds quite distorted, did you use the padswitch? What kind of setup did you use? (Let's talk some sound engineering). What are you recording to?

Yes - B2's. The distortion
No, sorry - C2s. I have a B2 Pro, but that wasn't it. The distortion is only at the beginning when I first hit encode. I'm using edcast to stream to an icecast server, and dumping locally to disk. I used to get into recording multitrack with a DAW (a Boss 1600CD or to Logic via a Presonus Firetube Studio), but then I realized that life is too short, and there are too many kirtans - so now I go for the best live mix possible and stream it straight out.
