Yesterday, Saturday March 22, 2008, we went on harinam to Inala, Brisbane's "whole lotta ethnic" suburb.
It was quite the contrast to Bulimba and other bastions of white monoculture Australia. People here were all quite happy to see us, and we went into the local shopping center and chanted and danced.
We all wore garlands from last night's Gaura Purnima celebrations. I like Inala. If I were to buy a house in Brisbane, I'd buy one here. It reminds me of both Peru, where I lived for three years, and Pt Chevalier, the Auckland, New Zealand suburb where I lived as a child.
No video from this harinam, just photos. I didn't have time to recharge the batteries completely with the whole Gaura Purnima / Mother Urmila visit going on.
