More succinctly...

Not enough devotees are going on harinam, either here in Brisbane, or around the world in general.

Things are becoming very dire. If devotees do not perform sankirtan yajña on behalf of the human population it will be destroyed. Do your part for the human race.

I agree wholeheartedly! Harinama should be going on first of all, and after that the devotees may do various other services for Lord Caitanya. I have to admit I am rather mystified by the lack of enthusiasm I often see in temples for harinama. Here in Hawaii, only a handful of temple brahmacaris and outside devotees (like me!) go out every Saturday evening. We always have a great time and it is really a lot of fun, so I'm not sure why devotees don't like it. Even the temple president here never comes out. If the temple devotees don't like harinama then how in the world can we expect that the nondevotees ever will? For me, at least, it is my most important service ever.

Sri Harinama Sankirtana, ki jaya!

I would like to see a report

I would like to see a report from the GBC on how many devotees in each zone are going on Harinam and how many initiated devotees have read the fourth canto, and what's being done to increase those two figures. That's what I understand the function of the GBC to be - to make sure that ISKCON members are following the books, not to rewrite them.
